Kieran Lochore – Orkney Comedy Nights in May

Stand-up comedy night is coming to The Pickaquoy Centre Cinema on Saturday, May 16th and The Stromness Townhall on Friday, May 15th. The show starts at 8pm, so come along for a great night of live laughs and top comedy talent.

KIERAN LOCHORE

Kieran has come a long way since his first gig in Fusion back in 2005. Known by his peers as “The Godfather Of Highland Comedy”, Kieran has been a cornerstone of the burgeoning highland scene for over a decade.

His show Fae Orkney Tae Oblivion has been seen by countless audiences over the past few years, including headline slots on the Mikeysline 10th Anniversary tour and Eden Court Theatre in Inverness. An eclectic mix of stand-up, stories and songs, He is very proud and very excited to bring his show home to Orkney.
Kieran will be joined by;

MIKE HENDRY

Mike is one of the highlands most accomplished and beloved comics. Based in Inverness, Mike has performed in venues all up and down Scotland. Including the Glasgow International Comedy Festival. He is fun, sharp and wonderfully surreal. A firm favourite of the scene. Mike has also been instrumental in bringing stand-up to the Highlands. In particular, he has organised numerous shows and open mics, including Comedy Upstairs and The Comedy Rev.

In addition, as a founding member of Uncle Gravy Comedy, he has played a key role in developing and supporting the local comedy scene. Through these efforts, he has helped create more opportunities for both emerging and established comedians in the region.

MATT BLACK

Matt has made quite the name for himself on the Scottish comedy circuit over the past few years. He is a regular performer at The Stand Comedy club in Edinburgh and has recently been a finalist in the Dutch Barn Vodka Spirit Of Comedy Competition. Hailing from Invergordon, Matt is a master of wit, wisdom and working class sensibility. He has come a long way in a short time, and lucky for us his travels are taking him to Orkney where he will be giving his best.

TOM CAIRNS

Tom has been on the highland scene for a few years now. And in that time he has earned himself such accolades as Inverness Comedy Club Comedian Of The Year 2024. Originally from the West Country, Tom has found his way up to the highlands and we could not be happier. Armed with great stories of his homeland, razor-sharp jokes and his unashamed love of nerd culture, Orkney is sure to enjoy this man as much as every other audience he has performed for.

STEPHEN CLARK

Our wonderful host for the evening. Stephen is a pure Scottish gem. Originally from Glasgow but with his feet firmly planted in the highlands. He is the current title-holder of ICCs Comedian Of The Year. He has performed for sold out crowds at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival and many other such shows. Stephen will be chatting to the crowd and giving us a glimpse into his weird and wicked mind.
